Warranty and Maintenance Terms for Automotive Diagnostic Tool

In-Warranty Maintenance:

  • All automotive diagnostic and programming tools purchased from CompuCar are covered by a two-year warranty from the original purchase date.
  • The original purchase invoice must be presented to avail of free maintenance services within the warranty period.
  • In case of maintenance during the warranty period, the warranty period will be automatically extended by the duration of the maintenance based on Saudi Arabia MOC regulations.
  • Online updates for the automotive diagnostic tools are provided, and there is no need to bring the device physically for updates. CompuCar is not responsible for any pre-existing device malfunction before the update.

Out-of-Warranty Maintenance or Devices Purchased Elsewhere:

  • Car diagnostic Device purchased from other sources or those that are out of warranty are subject to an initial diagnostic fee and a comprehensive inspection to determine the nature of the fault and the cost of repair.
  • The customer will be informed of the estimated repair cost and must provide written consent before any repair work commences.
  • If the customer declines the repair cost, the device will be returned in its original condition upon receipt, and the customer will not be refunded the initial diagnostic fee.

Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse or failure to follow the operating instructions provided in the user manual.
  • Damage caused by accidents, drops, shocks, or exposure to water or liquids.
  • Damage caused by opening the device or tampering with its internal components by unauthorized persons.
  • Damage caused by altering or removing the device’s serial number or warranty label.
  • Replacement of lost or damaged parts due to normal wear and tear, such as buttons, cables, accessories, batteries, and lamps.

Additional Terms for Automotive Diagnostic Tools Older Than 5 Years and Purchased from Other Sources:

  • CompuCar reserves the right to refuse maintenance services if the necessary spare parts are unavailable or if the device cannot be repaired.
  • CompuCar reserves the right to refuse maintenance for devices purchased from sources other than CompuCar, as well as for older devices.
  • The customer is responsible for backing up all data and information on the device before sending it for maintenance.
  • CompuCar is not responsible for any loss or damage to data that occurs during the maintenance process.
