A ball joint separator is a mechanical tool designed to break loose tight taper fittings in the suspension system without resorting to violent hammering. Its adjustable design allows mechanics to handle various tie-rod ends safely and efficiently.
Controlled separation: Relies on a threaded pressure bolt to push the joint out smoothly, preventing torn rubber boots or stripped threads.
Solid steel construction: Built from drop-forged, heat-treated steel to endure the high mechanical stress required in daily front-end service.
Assured durability: Sourced directly from the factory and backed by a strict quality guarantee for heavy-duty workshop performance.
Dismantle Stubborn Parts with a Ball Joint Separator
When servicing front-end steering and suspension systems, technicians often face stubbornly stuck joints. The traditional method of hammering the component loose frequently results in damaged rubber boots or ruined threads, inflating repair costs and delaying the job. A ball joint separator offers a smarter mechanical solution. By sliding the forked jaw around the assembly and turning the pressure bolt, this ball joint removal tool applies a gradual, controlled force that pops the joint free smoothly, keeping adjacent parts completely intact.

Adjustable Design for Various Tie-Rod Ends
Vehicles come with different component sizes, meaning a rigid tool is not always enough. This ball joint puller features an adjustable mechanism that alters the jaw’s capacity to fit different diameters. This adaptability makes it highly versatile for separating tie-rod ends and ball joints from the suspension arm across standard passenger cars and larger vehicles. It is a highly practical addition to any workshop’s car tools collection, ready to tackle different front-end challenges.
Available in Two Models
The ball joint separator comes in two models based on vehicle origin, and you can select the model that fits from the product options when adding it to the cart:
- Silver model — for European vehicles: 16 cm length, 5 cm maximum width, 8.5 cm pressure bolt.

- Black model — for Japanese vehicles: 16 cm length, 4 cm maximum width, 9 cm pressure bolt.

Both models open to a maximum gap of 5.5 cm, covering the common sizes of ball joints and tie-rod ends on passenger cars.
Forged Steel Under High Mechanical Stress
Breaking a tight taper requires high torque, so the tool body is constructed from drop-forged, heat-treated steel. The pressure bolt features machined threads that handle continuous high-friction turning without stripping, letting the tool withstand the separation force of daily workshop use.

Proven Workshop Durability
Dealing with undercarriage components demands equipment that won’t fail mid-task. Because we source this tool directly from the factory, it carries the actual drop-forged strength required for intense professional use. Supported by the Compu-Car quality guarantee and our experience supplying reliable equipment since 2010, it is a practical, long-lasting investment for precise, safe mechanical repairs.
