Powerful Chip Reader/Writer (EEPROM / MCU)

Launch X prog 3 accurately reads and writes EEPROM and on-board MCU chips. This capability supports precise programming and coding operations for control units across multiple vehicle systems.

ECU/TCU Read-Write Without Removal

It reads and writes most engine and gearbox ECUs without the need to disassemble the shell. Capabilities include:

• VW/Audi MQB platform engine and gearbox ECU replacement or cloning (reading engine ECU data directly from the key).

• ECU replacement for the fifth-generation Audi (0AW/0B5) gearbox.

• Reading, writing, and cloning the ECU for the fourth-generation VW UDS engine.

• BMW E chassis 8HP gearbox ECU reprogramming to empty.

• Working with reprogramming devices to backup and restore programming data for Bosch and Siemens engine ECUs.

X-PROG 3 integrates with compatible Launch X-431 series diagnostic scanners to expand their programming capabilities, or operates standalone directly from a laptop after installing its dedicated software for data reading and writing tasks.
